School Coaching

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

You may well be considering using some of your Sports Premium budget to bring in external organisations to help you run your PE curriculum. If so, please consider using the Chorley & West Lancs Cricket Academy to deliver this for you.

With over 10 years of coaching experience, we will use our extensive knowledge of the sport to help students feel competent and assist them in leading healthy, active lives. The primary focus is to provide students with baseline skills in a fast-growing sport, encourage team building, help stay active and most of all enjoy playing cricket!

The CWLCA coach would work cooperatively with support from existing school staff helping to plan, deliver and evaluate the session. The coach can also advise staff how to further improve the quality of the PE lessons.

CWLCA Services can be extended to include PPA cover whereby the lesson can be an enhancement or a continuation of the sporting activities and lessons already timetabled.

Key Objectives

· Improving the quality of PE lessons throughout school

· Developing teachers and coaches’ skills and knowledge as part of CPD

· Aligning lessons with the national curriculum and Ofsted requirements

· Use a bespoke assessment plan to ensure students development is tracked over time

· Provide well-planned and structured sessions, for as long as required

Testimonials

Our son loved the cricket camp, he enjoyed the netting best and would definitely attend another camp. Coach to player ratio was good.

Our son wasn’t really sure before the camp begun because he didn’t know if any of his good friends were going, but he had a brilliant time. He loved it.

Our son loved the camp and would like to attend the one at Easter if possible.

Our son really enjoyed the half term camp thank you, and thanks to the coaches.  He would also be keen to attend the next one please.

Many thanks for the time and help you have given the boys this week. They have thoroughly enjoyed the camp.

Our son really enjoyed the camp and it was great having an activity during the cold, wet and windy half term.
